I am a new quad owner so bear with me......what the hell is a nerf bar? and what is it for? Do I need one?

 

hey wedge. nerf bars are these bars with nets in them that hook to your footpegs. you don't need them but they look cool and they make your quad safer. if you look at my yaho photo album in my signature you can see the ones my friend had on his 400EX.

they also help when you go off jumps and do no footers and one footers they help you if you miss the peg your foot will hit them insted of the ground.

 

They also help you when you are racing or riding with a lot of people, if someone brushes up next to you they guide them away from your quad so they dont come up into you and do serious damage to your quad and you.
