I have a question if u just keep putting gas in and changing oil will you slow down without tuning it???Because for some reason i think my 400ex is getting slower, is there anything i can do to clean something or whatever or tune something???

I agree, even after i did all my performance mods to my 400ex, i though "man, I think I just wasted a bunch of money, 'cause this thing feels just as slow as stock". Then my friend got a brand new 400ex, and after the first time I rode it I said to him "Something's gotta be wrong, 'cause this thing feels like a slug!". I'm almost positive your just getting used to it.

well alot of times if u dont get ur valves adjusted after brake in .after a peroid of time and a long peroid of hard riding and alot of heat the valves are real tight and could mellow out the performance of the machine.

If the Valves were out of adjustment, it would probably be hard...or harder than when you first got it...to start it "Cold Starts...sitting for more than 24 hrs. without running"

I would say that you're just getting used to it. my polaris x-plorer 300 4x4 seemed sooo fast when we first got it...yeah i was only 12....but it still seemed like it was one screamin' machine, eventually...a week or so later...it slowed down!!!
