we had that happen to us once. the owner of the land that our track is on was gone on vacation and when we showed up there were three guys on the track. they had some bikes and were pretty young (18-21). we told them to leave, but one got mouthy. my bro got so pissed, he hit one in the face. i was glad it was him and not me. we actually had to pull him off. the others took off and the one that got hit just said sorry and jumped on his bike. we have never seen them since.
that is what you should have done. man, it really works. they now understand that they can't be comin' up there without permission. man, you have to take a stand for yourself. let these punks know that you are not going to put up with that kinda $hit. although violence is not always a solution, i think this is one time it is. it would assure yourself that they would not be coming back.

we dont own the property, or know the owner ourselves. we don't mind other people riding up there infact we love to see other people riding up there. we just dont want them trashing our jump/tarp before the jump has been completed.
my friend took off on his 400ex looking for the bastards who tookt he tarp off the jump, if he found them he would've beat there asses. hes a jacked **** who doesnt take crap.

With responsible users like yourselves, one can only wonder why more private property owners don't allow OHV'ers.
Since you don't know the owner of the property, how did you get permission to ride there, let alone change the terrain of this property by making a jump?
As stated by someone else, unless you're using power equipment, a hand-built jump isn't going to last more than a day. The dirt isn't compacted enough. Just ride and have fun there as long as you can - hopefully the owner of the land doesn't find out there's a bunch of punks ripping up his property and kick you all out.

Ah yes.... Down near (sp)mayapac? Not sure of the spelling.
Anyway.... Now that I get the story strait.... You...your friends...and the other riders are all tresspassing. That makes the violence part of this even more ridiculous.
Someday..the tuff guy attitudes will pay off...trust me.

our jump is made out of mroe then just dirt. we have more then 10 tires in it, the top of a picnic table, several more boards, and big rocks. we've built jumps out of just rocks and dirt and they have been there for over a year now and all we have to do to them is fill in the ruts every once and a while. also people ahve been riding on this land for more then 20 years now, so the owner obviously doesnt care.

Then, unless it's your land, I'd just relax and enjoy the gift. Don't start fights or set booby-traps. This would be a sure way to get everyone kicked out of there.
It's the same as building a sand castle at the beach - when you're gone, somebody's gonna knock it down -- that's life. It's frustrating, but not as frustrating as having no place to ride. Chill.

yeah i'm starting to see your point
were not gonna start a fight over it, i dont care to fight myself. were going to rebuild the jump and hopefully no one will ride on it until its complete, i'll put up a sign and i hope people read it and listen.
