info on uni filters
#2
They run between $15 and $24, depending on where you get it. They supposedly give better filtration than most filters. I don't know what kind of filter you are running now, but you couldn't go wrong installing a Uni, and using your filter as a spare.
Keep the Uni clean and oiled. I clean mine with 100% mineral spirits, then soapy water, air dry in front of a fan, then put it in a large ziplock baggy, saturate with PJ1 foam filter oil, air dry again, and it's ready to go. I keep a spare in a baggy, for those weekend trips.

Like I said earlier, a UNI will give you better filtration than K & N but restriclt a little more airflow. K & N does not give as good filtration but it reall sucks that air in. I would NOT go with K & N in extrememly dusty conditions like here in AZ. I would go with a UNI well oiled. If you are going to use a K & N then put an outerwear on it and maybe a outwear airbox lid.
