I ordered stick guards from Aluminum Products for my 2001 Rubi. I noticed when I installed them that they did not seem to fit flush on the bottom of the A-Arm, leaving a noticeable gap near the rear U-bolt. Even though they are labelled L & R, I double checked AP's and TexMud's webpages to make sure I wasn't being a complete idiot.

Does anyone else with AP stick guards on their Rubi have this problem? The guards are labelled Foreman 450 & Rubicon 500, so I think they are the right model. Maybe I'm just being stupid . . . you never know.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I ordered them for my 00 450s. I noticed the same thing. I just tightened them until they were flush with the a-arm.

Yeah, they aren't an exact fit, but just tighten them down. They work fine.
