Having a car following you is one of the least accurate ways to measure top speed. 1) he may have been getting closer to you then falling back so his speed would vary. 2) The speedo in his car most likely read fast just like 90% of other vehicles at 70+mph. 3) A long shot, but who knows, the driver may have exaggerated just so you would be more impressed. Accurate ways of measuring speeds are GPS or radar gun.
A Quadzilla tops out just under 80mph. I have heard they are good for one top speed run before the top end has to be rebuilt![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
My Scrambler topped out at 57 mph in a 1000' ice drag. That was checked with a radar gun and later verified with a GPS.
