The HRC cam is a cam made by honda, designed for the XR400r. The reasons I went with the HRC was that it was a drop in cam (no hardfacing, or extra work needed), and that it was made by honda, so you know that there will be no complications. I do sugest though, that anytime you get a new cam, you get new valve-springs. It should be also noted, that the HRC cam is not the most agressive cam you can buy, but it does increase power significantly on top end, and offers a more even power spread than a full-race cam (this means a less fatiuging (sp?) ride, but not quite as much performace). It's all in whaat you want.

Also, I have heard from my engine builder that the Honda cam is more reliable than web, and some other manufactuer''s cams. Additionally, a more aggressive cam means less fuel economy.
