I own a 98 300EX that i bought used. I know mostly what it has, like pipe, K&N filter, and such. But I was recently thinking of buying a jet kit for it. But I don't want to buy a jet kit and then the dealer tell me that when they took the carb off there was already a jet kit on it. So how do I check my carb to see if it has a jet kit on it? Thanks for your help.

 

Man it doesn't really matter if it has a jet kit or not. You don't have to have a jet kit to rejet a carb. I do my rejetting myself by just buying some jets. You save big bucks that way. The quad has probably already been rejetted.If the bike doesn't cut out or isn't lean it doesn't need to be rejetted again. Pull the plug if its brown don't worry about anything. If it runs good leave it alone.
