Ive heard that the yellow 400 EX is faster that the red 400 EX. But arn't they the same. I know the yellow one is a Sportrax and the red one is a Fourtrax. So which is faster?

When I was at our local Honda shop the other day they had five 400ex's and one was yellow. I would purchase the yellow and it will be faster because all the red 400ex's will want to stay behind you just so they can see that yellow 400ex. Yellow rules on the 400 ex. Also, the 300ex looks neat in yellow too.

Your right 2001 and up is sportrax. On the 2002 400ex it just has Honda on the side of the seat instead of saying sportrax. I like honda on the side better.

RelicRacer,

They are both the same speed, but the Red ones have some reliabiltiy problems. There is a guy on the Yamaha forum that has a Red 1998 400ex and he on his third set of muffler bearings. I guess that all of the red ones are the same way. Ask anybody.
