wasn't me..lol my quad is in the shop getting jetted..

i called them today, and he said its running fine and all they did was put a new plug in it. I'm like i put 3 new plugs in it to get readings on the jetting! ..it wasn't fouled then, i dunno whats going on. If it was just a bad plug i am going to feel like a total retard.

Aaron,

What size main jet are you running?
Are you rich or lean?

I have a 160 main in my 330 and I'm at sea level. It runs great between 30-85 degrees F. Above or below that and it's time to re-jet.

i'm running 145 main, needle clip in the 2nd from top position.

I'm thinking its way lean? i dunno he said it runs fine? i'm like? it cuts out big time under full throttle

well it has a rpm limitor..its not the kind of cutting out and it doesn't have one anyways!

i'm losing faith in these guys..i thought they were pretty good mechniacs...the main one is a certified honda/yamaha/polaris one. He showed me all these little papers where he went through classes for them.

Maybe i should just get it off them before it cost me money and then get a bag of jets from 150-170 and try them lol

but what gets me the center of the plug is burning brown, with a little bit of light brown mixed in. So it is running lean but not that lean. Tried played with holes in the lid at no go.

I think you should get a 160 and if thats rich work your way down and forget paying these mecanics big bucks.

the 400ex shocks are a bit stiff, thats the only problem i've ran into.

I have the preload turned all the way down and they still feel like they are too hard. I am going to buy some Elka's in the future, so i am just going to see how well they can tune a set of 400ex shocks for me. So that won't be a problem when i get some money )

Even being stiff, the whole thing handles a 100 time better than the stock 300ex
