I recently put one on my 400ex and I really like it. I mounted it on the plastic piece on the handlebars. Installation is easy and I used 1660 for the computer setting. I tested the distance against my truck and it appears to be right on. I use it mostly for the odometer, but the speed is nice too. I rode with it at Wayne National Forest and it was extremely muddy and the unit never failed. So far, I have been really pleased with it.

I have had my trail tech speedo for about 6 months now and have had no problems with it. I have my numbers set to 1668 . The number you use will depend on the diameter of your tire.

I was using stock tires with 4 pounds of air pressure. I marked a spot on the tire and the road. I then sat on the quad and rolled it forward one complete revolution. It was 1660. I reset the computer and check a marked distance (marked with my truck). I was right on at one mile, so I think it is pretty accurate. With stock tires, you should be pretty close to the 1650 -1670 range depending on your tire wear and tire pressure.
