350X questions, please advise

I might be getting a SUPER clean 85 350X with Supertrap exhaust.
How will this machine do in the dunes? (with paddles)
Will it have enough power to compete with an ATC250R in drags, or up dunes?
(be honest!! dosnt bother me if it wont)
Enough power to raise the front end at will?
How about size. How much bigger is it than the little 200X?
Does the 85 have the 6 speed?
Any comments about it are welcome. Any information about it is greatly appreciated.
Thanks! -Matt

I don't know how it will be in the dunes or how it will do against the 250r.I ran mine against my trx 250r and it was close on the bottom end but the "R" ran away when it hit 3rd gear. My '85 did wheelies easily up to 4th gear.I'm sure a better rider could get 5th and 6thgear wheelies.

Back in 1986 I had an 86 ATC350X and my neighbor had an 86 ATC250R. We drag raced them all the time and he would just walk away from my 350X.
The 350X is still an awesome trike, though. It would loft the front wheels easily up to third and with a little body english it will come up in about any gear.
Remember that the ATC 250R's are faster in a drag race than their four wheeled brothers.

If i was going to drag race i would pick an 86atc250r to start building from.
A 350x in my opinion is the easiest machine to wheelie on.
It will prblay be alot more reliable than a 250r but for the dune 2 strokes rule and will be alot chepaer to hop up.
What dune will u ride at?
