I have been a part of ATV Connection forums for over 3 years now. During that time, I have enjoyed sharing information and knowledge with a great group of riders of varied ages, talents and intellect.

During the last three months, the quality of postings here has dwindled.

I don't know whether the median age of users is reduced, or whether the active nature of a few young fools has pushed the intelligent among this group to give up and go home - the reason doesn't matter.

This forum has become combative, juvenile and beyond my ability to deal with.

Most of the rebuttals I recieve to my responses are from some kid who's parents' purchased a Blaster for him months ago. For some reason, this makes the child into an expert on all things with four wheels and an engine.

I'm sorry, if I wanted to deal with people like this, I'd become a teacher, and get PAID to do it.

If anyone is looking for a real answer to a tech question, they can e-mail me. I am always more than happy to help someone out with a problem.

What I will not do is engage in verbal jousting matches with people who do not even understand the basics of how an engine works, and have yet to learn even rudimentary manners.

Man. Thats odd. I've never been in a post with you, but I remember your name. You have been here a long time. I can remember a post here on the old old forum titled "Where is Pam Falcioni". That was like 3 years ago. Sorry to see an old member go, but it is understandable why you would feel that way. Just like industry, the quality of things does dwindle when it expands.

yes I remember her too from the exact same time. You know you're important when everyone remembers your name. I don't think I really get noticed all that much. lol. I keep quiet most of the time. It is sad to see the good people leave the forum that have been here since the beginning, and all these newer people rushing in to the forums.!

Hello Pam--- I have been following your posts for approx. 3 mo. I must say that,if I you do go away, this forum has lost a key contributor!
You have exhibited a thorough working knowledge of things mechanical. Having been in the car repair business, it is refreshing to see postings by someone who seems to have a total handle on repair/maintenance of these strange little four wheeled critters!
Try not to let these adolescent "twirps" get you down. There are people out there picking up on what you are saying! Good luck with whatever you decide to do! Please reconsider. Later, Mike.

<< whatever happened to Tree Farmer? >>

He's still active on other forums.

Don't forget, if any of you have anything you want to chat about, I can still be reached by e-mail. The best part of that? There's always the 'delete' button

Sorry I dont remember you at all, Sorry to hear you leave, I have also noticed the forums are getting a little out of hand, I've been here for about 1 1/2 years now.

I do remember Tree Farmer, that guy was the coolest, if you talk to him, tell him I said HI. Another very nice guy who left the forums a while ago was hot_shoe_cv, I still stay in touch with him, nicest guy ever.

Thats pretty stupid, if you like this place why let some twirp with a Blaster affect your decisions? The great thing about being human is the ability to ignore someone. If you like it here, stay, if your tired leave, but don't let other people affect you so strongly.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess this happens every year around this time. I'm guessing while schools out you get much more posts from our youth. If you do leave check back in a month or two and see if the forums arent back to where you think they should be, my guess is that they'll look like normal again.

We cant discredit the young heart. Its good to see that they're passionate about something and though its a pain in the butt for some I think its healthy for our hobby/sport. At least they arent out there doing drugs and getting pregnant right?

Hopefully you'll find something redeaming about our site and stick around a while.
