jumping utes

i have herd of people jumping their utility atvs and i was wondering does the bottoming out do any damage to the atv and my 200sx has a very springy suspention and it bottoms out quite a bit

Yes bottoming the suspension hurts things. It can brake frames, blow shocks, ruin seals. I have jumped both the quads you have and they didn't land good. Its not a good idea.

I've jumped my 300 quite a bit, and it's modded, but not the supsension. I know i've hit at least 6 feet of air under all the wheels before and bottomed the suspension. Awhile back i was climbing out of a mud hole, and the rear shock just came apart, and the center rod, stuck out on the spring and was jammed. It looked like i had a 12 inch lift kit, it was awesome looking, but horible for the quad so i drove it back, and i have since replace my rear shock.

You can have many problems just as bermbanger said also you can kiss your battery compartment over on some models, so be ready to buy some new rear plastic possibly. I have a rancher (great ground clearance 9.7&quot with not so good, OK, crappy suspension - sorry honda and I have caught it on the wrong side of woops a few times, CLINK , not a good thing. Buy a sport bike if jumping is your game.
