hey every1. i'm gonna be pickin up my '02 400EX any day now and the first thing i'm gonna buy for it is a set of nerf bars. so far the coolest ones to me have been the DG pro pegs. i haven't seen them in real life but i've read about em and seen a few pics. i have heard things about DG bein sucky. i believe that those are probably true. does any1 here have the pro-peg nerfs? have the hasseled you at all? anyways i'm not really worried about all that as much as i'm worried about this: if i install the nerfs the pegs will now be 1 inch farther down and one inch back. i know i'll probably have to adjust the shifter to compensate for the 1 inch down but what about the one inch back? is the shifter gonna be too far away from my foot? am i gonna have to shorten my shift lever?

juggalo,
I don't know about the DG's but I have the AC pro pegs on my 250R. They also moved the pegs about 1" back and 1" down. It was a little weird initially but now I am used to it and I didn't change/shorten the brake or shift levers. I do have size 12 boots, though.
The AC's are awesome! They went right on and seem very sturdy. The new pegs are twice the size of the stockers.
I also have a friend with AC pro pegs on his 400ex and he loves them.
Hope that helps - and I personally think DG sucks.

i have the DG Pro Pegs and like them a lot, they seem pretty sturdy, and instalation is pretty easy. all i did to adjust to the differnt feel was to move the shifter down one notch and now everything is all gravy. oh yeah also DG doesnt make these nerfs anymore so you will have to find a place that still has the nerfs in stock. i paid 179.99 for mine, but you might be able to find them cheeper.

I got my AC's from K and K ATV for $180.
Also when I said DG sucks I really meant in general, not specifically about their nerfs. I used to race BMX and broke a DG frame in half and got hurt pretty good. I have never forgiven them for that although that was a LONG time ago. For all I know they make good stuff now - I am not even really sure it is the same company.
