If I was you I would first go throught the whole bike looking for problems. Such as replace brakes, sprockets, bearings first and make sure its in good mechanical shape. Then update the suspension then go for the engine. Thats what I'm doin on my 300ex.

What has been done to the R already? If it has been used for MXing, it's probably pretty close to what you want now.
As far as tricking it out, how big is your wallet??
When you get it, post and let us know what you've got. We need a starting point.

well first buy a pipe and silencer i recommend an ESR model.
Then save u money for suspension like 1000bucks. I would get tcs but works would be cool to but i assume save money by getting what u want in the first place.
