250R PIPE ? WHICH 1 ??
#1
I will probably be getting a 250R by the end of this month and I was wondering what pipe to get. It needs to have a spark arrestor. I saw a procircuit pipe but I'm not sure if PC makes good 2 stroke pipes , I have a PC T-4 pipe on my X and its really good. Just wondering what everyone thought of PC or what other pipe I should get? BTW anything FMF or DG is out of the question.

BERMBANGER it doesnt matter if I get this one because I'll just get a different one. ALso Tim Farr has a yz426 motor NOT a 250R. Also I have heard FMF and DG make crappy 250R pipes but good Dirt bike pipes. Thats just what I've heard from just about EVERYONE I heard , I'm not saying it's true PLEASE correct me if I am wrong!

The ESR TRX5 is supposed to be the latest kickass pipe for the R.
I currently have an FMF Fatty and Turbine Core II silencer. They work very well for my type of riding and the silencer is spark-arrested.
The FMF is much less expensive than the rest and still has good performance.
Don't get a DG or a pos Trinity. Shy away from CT.
FTZ is also a kickass pipe.

Brian,
I'll have to disagree with the comment about CT pipes. I know their service is questionable but their prices are good and I happen to have the CT midrange pipe and I love it.
It has enough low end power to be predictable for MX and for trail riding or wide open ice riding in the winter it has sweet top end power.
I'm sure there might be pipes out there that make more power but I have to admit I love my CT midrange. It has a smooth hit and still impresses me every time. It also did great at drag racing last winter. I could beat almost anything that wasn't on alcohol or in an open class. I even smoked 2 Raptors over, and over, and over...
I wish the "Source" would finish that pipe comparison.
