Honda 300 speedo
#1
What does the Honda speedometer for the 300 look like? I was at Honda's web site but the picture was unavailable. I was wonder if it had a hour meter and an odometer. How hard is this thing to install? Anyone found a good price on it?
Thanks for the help,
Chris

Chris,
The Honda Speedo for the 300 is black, about 3" in diameter, about 3" tall, mounts in a horrible location (way out in front of the handlebars over the rack), and at $160 is about $150 to much. It just has an Odometer. It does have a light.
I would highly recommend the following (Gordon's idea). Go get a Mountain bike speedo (like Avenir). They run about $30. That will give you a digital speedo, odo, clock, trip distance, and about 5 other functions, taking up a litle space on the handlebar. It uses magnets which you glue to the front drive shaft. Works very well - I love mine. You can program it for whatever tire size you have so you get accurate speed.
Good luck.
