We all deal with criticism in life and how we respond to it is the key. For me to get on here and argue back and forth with dissatisfied customers, it would be difficult for the readers to see which one of us is credible and which one is not. This way it remains perfectly clear. My reputation stands for itself. Saying that, I also see my downfalls and the biggest one is my turn around times at certain times of the year. In order to solve this problem, I have to do one of two things: keep doing what I am doing the best I can or raise my prices so I'm not so busy so I can give quicker turn around times. I don't think that is what my customers really want so I am going to continue what I am doing. As you have read, once the customers get their products they are pleased. I deal with people on a one-to-one basis to ensure that they get the most horsepower for their money and to meet their needs for what they are using their quads for. I deal with high-end sport and utility models and it's not for everyone and the cost is higher because we do things a little better than the next guy. It takes time for R&D work so the customer doesn't have to do it himself. Time is money. You get what you pay for.

Mickey,

Sorry about misquoting the price, well I guess it was dirtwheels. Anyway, I am sure that the moderators wont mind if you put the real price on here so that we will know. I for one have a friend who wouldnt mind knowing, and I am sure the originator of the post would be interested as well.

Thanks

I never had anything against F.S.T, of course it takes a while to get some peoples motors done , i think alot of people have to understand that you have a life out of atvs.
I could take my motor to one of these backyard mechanics around here, but I'm sure it would be done alot better by a professional even though it takes a little longer to get finnished.

CB250X,

The 330 kit is for a 300EX. The same kit also fits the 250X and was originally designed for it when the 300EX's came out. The 80mm piston, however, only makes the 250X a 288cc motor because it does not have the stroke of a 300EX. The kit costs $295. We charge $150 to re-sleeve and bore the new cylinder.

My friend had a 330RX(330X motor in LSR 250R frame) and his was always giving him problems. Not exactly the motor, but everything getting TO the motor. The 330X pulled HARD.. almost as hard as my Banshee. When I got on it, it threw me on the back of my seat until I hit 4th gear. It was crazy for a 4 stroke!

Mickey, BermBanger has a question in the Honda forums, and wants to know if you can put a kickstarter off a 250X onto the 300EX. His sylenoid(SP?) went bad, and he has a 250X motor I think.. What would you have to do to make it work?

CB250X,

To stroke your crank and put a 300EX rod on it, which you can't buy but I happen to have them, you would be looking at $450 with rod. The good news is if you are going to go to this extreme, then we stroke your crank, put a heavy-duty rod on it and an 86mm piston (instead of an 80mm) and jump it up to a 380cc motor or 87mm and make it a 390cc motor for the same price($395 for the 380 kit and $350 to stroke it).

LoneStarBanshee,

Yes, the 250X kick starter and all the pieces out of it will work on the 300EX. You do have to split the cases to get all the pieces out of the 250X to put them in the 300EX. The big problem comes in machining the 300EX case for the kick starter to go through and installing an oil seal over the shaft. When it's all said and done, it's cheaper to fix your electric start system. Besides, going back to a kick starter is a pain in the butt to start a 4 stroke - not so much on a 330 kit but bigger motors like our 380's and 390's. So my advice is to keep your electric start system (or maybe I'm just getting old and like to push a button and go!).

Hey, Mickey, your the man!!! Only thing I want to know is why the oil cooler for the 300ex comes with the worst instructions ive ever seen.
Although, If you look at my website, I did reccomend the cooler to people,
It helped my 330 alot. I have received countless e-mails on how to install it, everybody has problems with the directions. Anyways, your the man, and keep up the amazing work you do. Alex
