I had an 88 LT230 (Suzuki). I traded a crossbow for it, (about a $400 value). I put rings in it, beat the snot out of it for a year, then sold it for $1500.

1976 Honda 90 ATC. It was a 4 speed (if I remember right) and had high and low range. My dad gave $500 for it in the early 80's. We eventually killed it and subsequently gave it away a few years ago. The last I seen it, it was still running, just not real well.

My first ride was in 1969. It was a 1969 (blue/silver)Honda Mini Trail 50. It was a 3 speed automatic, folding handlebars and gas shut off so you could put it in your car trunk, had front and rear lights and could be licensed for the street. I was 13 and I thought I was in heaven. Chet

In '79 I was 14 and shared a Zap three wheeler with my brother. It was powered by a 5 horse Briggs & Straton engine. I wish I still had that thing. It was cool looking; it had a streamlined bright yellow fiberglass body that you sat in like a lounge chair, with long goose neck handle bars and foot pegs on the front wheel fork. We got it second hand for $300.

Beleive it or not I never rode a quad before & wanted a regular 4-wheeler in order to learn to ride, heres what I found.........
1987 TRX250R,.. Bought for $1,500.00 after previous owner spent almost 2 grand rebuilding it(so he said).Just last year I found another one 1986,so I tore completely down,repowder painted it& completely restored & customized it w/+2 set-up for MX,invested aprox. 6,500.00 on it.ITS A BEAUT!

I got one of the first "82 atc185s in 1981. How I wish I still had that bike, I did everything possible to the machine, nos, ram air, alcohol, bored, stoked, 5 different cams, 4 different cards, 3 different exhausts. I wish I could find one now in good condition, the bike was a wheelie machine.

My first ride was an old 1980 model 50cc dirtbike. Then I junked it and got me a 1980 something 80cc Yamaha Moto4. Man I rode the crap out of that thing! I rode it til the rear gearbox tore out of it. You could start up a hill and it would slip out of gear and leave you rolling back down! Then I sold it for like $100. Pretty good considering it was a piece of junk. I think mine had like 4 gears in it.

I got pic's of them both if ya'll want to see them:

My 50cc Dirtbike -
My 80cc Yamaha Moto4

Now don't ya'll laugh at these pic's b/c there pretty old and I look dumb in them. lol
