doggeter-
dont worry about the power of that thing it has plenty of ***** to pull although the j arm front suspension will give you a fairly rough ride and watch out with the steering but other than that those 250s are amazing i only need a few things like electric starter reduction gear(on order) and a brake cable then mine will be all ready it starts first kick now
cant wait to be on the trails

It had plenty of ***** just didnt have that great of front suspension.
In a tug-o-war against my dads '00 2X4 kodiak it would pull him all
over the place. I also had stryker tires on the back and his are stock
so that may have had a little to do with it. The only problem i had
was that when i would go through water up to the pegs it would stall.
My dad just re-routed all the wiring and then that thing was a submarine!
Hope this helps.

hondatrx300- somthing tells me your dad doesnt have a raptor. i sat on one at the dealer ship and there not as big as i thought they were. i thought it was kinda small actually. and i dont know if this makes any sense to any one here but if a kid can handle a 600 two stroke in a snowmachine wouldnt you think he could handle a 660 four stroke in a fourwheeler? just pondering.

jason300ex:yes, iv noticed after exxcessive riding that i dont have to be affraid anymore. wheelies are a sinch and doughnuts are now fun. A couple days ago I was affraid because iv never ridden a 660 before... now i find that im fine on it. i really think we communicated that day on the trail.
and yes, my dad DOES have a raptor. Just the let you know, i didnt post any of that **** that says iv never owned a quad, somebody has hacked into my profile and changed my pic.

Well, my first quad was a 85 Yamaha YFM200 Moto 4 (2x4). Full racks and no suspension (good thing I was young and my bones could handle it). Then I bought a 89-90? Suzuki 250 QuadSport. They only made this model one year....hell of a quad. Then I sold that a few years later to get my first car. Now I'm back in the sport again, rid'in red!
