what kind of quad? on my 250r i had to cut it off and replace what ever i destroyed. air impact and air hammer are the tools of choice but i had neither. they get stuck real good if not maintained properly. if its stuck real bad its probably time for new bearings or helm bushings. good luck this job can be very troublesome. when you do get it off put grease zerks on it. helm enterprises(in the back of dirt wheels) gives directions on how to install grease zerks.

my neighbor just told me that the bolt was broke in half. i guess the thing has been broken for a while. i had no clue.

he has got one side of the bolt out and is stil on the other side.

I dont know if its that common for them to break but Baldwin Motorsports makes a chromoly bolt thats supposed to be stronger. I put one in mine even though my original was still good.
