HOW MUCH IS MY 300EX WORTH?
#1
I am thinking about selling my quad and buying a dirtbike. I was wondering how much I could get for my 2001 300ex. It has about 50 hours on it total. It is 4 months old and it is in perfect condition. It has the usual scratches. The seat has a few rips in it but are very small. It was never raced, wrecked or beat up. The quad was cleaned and taken care of great. I cleaned it everytime i rode.Barely rode it because there is no places to ride where I live (Long Island).
The mods are Supertrapp IDS2,Trail Claw II tires-rear, Fast Trekker tires-front, Tag t-2 handlebars, K&N air filter with outerwear, DG Alloy nerf bars, DG front bumper, White Bros race cam, white bros race valve springs.
The tires are basically new and I rode mabye 3 times with the handlebars. And rode once with the cam and springs. This Quad is basically new, I hate to see it go cause I spend so much time and money in it but I want a bike. If you could tell me how much my quad is worth that would be great. Thanks

ridered2001,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but most people want a clean stock machine when buying used. With all the modifications you have done you will have to find a specific buyer and thats going to be hard to do. If you never raced it why in the heck did you put all the accessories on it. The 300EX is a nice machine stock to ride around on in stock form. The ripped seat tells all to someone looking at the machine. Wholesale for a completely stock(new appearance) 2001 300ex is aprox. $3,200.00. If you can get that for your modified 300ex I would take the money and run. As for a dirt bike this time if your not going to race it, just do it right and go for a CR500(get it while you can) or a power valved KX500. The power they have is like going to the moon and are very fairly priced. Chet
