Would it be possibe and worth it to put a TRX250R transmission into a 1982 ATC250R?

 

What is the difference between the 2?

 

The TRX tranny has six gears and mine only has 5.

 

Isn't your ATC air cooled?

Well the TRX is liquid cooled so that means you'd have to put on radiators.

I don't think the motor mounts would line up either. You would also have to replace the CDI box.

Sounds like alot of work. All you really have to do is buy an 86 ATC 250R.

If your trike is an '86 it should drop right in. '85 may be the same, but pre '85 I'm pretty sure it's a no go.
