I am making my second payment on my 01 rubicon. I have 350 miles on it and i have not had any problems except for one that was my fault. i shorted out two wires on my winch. but other than that the machine has been flawless. i do alot of hard riding so i think that the machine will hold up pretty good in the future.

That would be me, just do a search for topic "letter to honda" and you will have more info than you planed on. In Nutshell my problems are largley dealer prep related, except honda stripped out my A-arm bolt and it ratteled and ovaled out my frame causeing honda to have to replace the entire frame. I would buy one again in a second.

Weve had ours about four months, have about 1,300 miles on it and it's been fairly flawless. I wasn't overly impressed with the power level in stock form but adding a DynoJet kit has made it much better(and very acceptable) and I'm looking forward to some additional power enhancements in the future. I just don't understand why K&N hasn't released their filter system yet, but I guess I'll just have to deal with that. It's also taken quite a few miles of hard riding to get it loosened up and broken in, typical Honda I guess. We love our Rubicon and highly recommend one to anyone, especially for riders that want an automatic. The transmission is in a league by itself always being in the gear it needs to be under any conditions. It makes me a lot more comfortable when my wife is riding knowing it won't allow her to get into trouble because of making a bad gear selection, something she did regularly with our old bike.

No problems to report with mine except a bad 12 volt outlet.

The only problem was the shifter screws coming out, had the dealer replace the one(comes with lock-tite on it). Have 617 miles on the machine doing some of the hardest work pulling 24" to 32" logs with no problem, plowing dirt, hauling dirt and riding very hilly trails. The rubicon starts every time, only had it 7 months. I would buy another one.
