DS650 baja
#6
Sorry, the list of mods I saw the other day, didn't include A-arms. I checked their web site, and it's there. What are they changing about the A-arms? The bike is kind of wide already, are they making it even wider? Are you Eastern trail riders going to buy a desert racer?
I'll be interested to see if the DS Baja 2000 win was for real or just a fluke. I've ridden with DSs a few times, and I can't say I am particularly impressed (just way to big!). The riders just seemed to always be fighting their machines. I'm glad to see a manufacturer pay some attention to desert riding though. Maybe this will start a trend. If there ever is a 650EX, I hope it will be a desert machine (seeing the engine is based on the all time greatest desert dirtbike). Everybody just gives us one trail bike after another, and we have to mod them up for desert riding. There are probably more SPORT riders in California than there are in all the other states combined. It's about time they gave us a bike suited for our terrain. Competition is good.
