Theres this 1987 250r that I am interested in buying, its completely stock and is almost brand new. Its been in storage for 9 years and is in mint condition and runs great. It will probably sell for around $3000. Do you guys think its a good deal? If you do, SAY SO that way my mom will believe me!

1995 yamaha blaster, paul turner exhaust, K&N filter with outwearer, boysen reeds, vitos superstock piston, oil injection block off, 14 tooth front sprocket, graydon chassis and swing arm skid plate, bored out .080, and holeshots on the rear

 

All the 250r's I've seen that were mint go for at least 3000. But you better check it out first, parts go bad if they have been sitting a long time[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Try and talk him down on it, dont act too anxious to buy it at first, just kinda act like you just were inquiring, and its no big deal. If its really been sitting 9 years and he hasnt used it, then he will want to sell it. Chances are, if he bought it 9 years ago used, he payed way less than 3k for it, so I would just go see it and offer 3 cash right there when you go. If its good, get the latest ATV sport and htey tell you what to check for on a used R. Check bearings, swingarm and a-arms, shocks, frame, especially around footpegs, just stuff like that. Definately kick it over and ride it, make sure it runs and has compression. Stuff like that.

For 3500 even if its in good shape its a good deal on a mint R, I would pay 3500 for a mint, all stock 250r.
