i agree with LBZ 400EX's are slow.

 

On my 250r I can beat stock 400ex's easily.By 10 bikes.My 250r does not have a light switch power band.It is more linear and progressive and then a pretty big hit after about 3/4 throttle.




But today I raced a 440 and a 416 that where very fast.They where beating ported and piped banshee's and raptor's left and right.I asked the guy what was done to it.And he said oh a pipe and piston.Then I asked his son and he said his dad's was a 440 that was ported polished.pro circuit exhaust, different cam.JE piston and a 39 fcr and his was the same except with a 416.The 416 was faster but both where really fast.The first time we raced the guy was leaning all the way forward and still flipped over backward!



I was beating stock banshee's and running side by side with piped one's and I only raced one raptor and me and like all the banshee's got a terrible start and still caught up with him.So I think on pavement I could beat him.(this was one sand)



I am not sure if there is something wrong with it.The best way would be to do a plug check and see how the jetting is.
