They may or may not fit but you probably don't want to do it. They are VERY stiff. The extra travel sounds good, but I am 220 and I hardly move the atv when I sit on it. I am looking for softer springs right now.

Yea, about your only bet for better shocks on a recon are a set of works for about 550 (complete set). They increase travel too....

If you blow the rear shock then it gives a really smooth ride! My rear shock blew on my recon and it road really nice and smooth. But then I replaced em with 300ex shocks. Good Luck.

you put 300ex shocks on a recon? did they mount right up or did you have to modify the shock mounts? how do you like them? it sounds like you have a recon made for jumping.

Well I dont have the recon anymore but here goes. The back bolts right up but you need to use a bushing with a smaller hole for the small bolts on the recon. And the fronts will not bolt up you need to make like a lowering kit for it I raised the location up 3 inches so it sat lower then stock in front and had awesome suspension. The ride was a bit smoother then stock out back and ALOT better up front but it really shined when jumping it. Good Luck, Zeebo
