my friend just got a engine from a 1200cc v twin motorcycle and he is willing to give it to me for 50 bucks so i was thinking could i make a raptor eater? thats a lot of power and i dont know if i would be able to make it on a low budget like what i have so what do you guys think?

what frame could possibly hold a 1200 v twin 4 stroke and control it?
how cheap would it be?

also how cool is the idea?
is it worth trying?

i think a 200sx frame may be a little too small for the job, or is it???

thanks

I put a modded gsxr 1100 engine in a katana 600 frame once, even with a #50 block of lead on the front end wasn't rideable.
When you talk a 250r, wich many believe is the best racing quad, your still talking what30-35 horses.
A 1200cc street bike engine were talking what, probably 100 ponnies.
Once put a suzuki GT 380 triple on a three wheeler, graet for hill climbs.
Did many many things with the kawi H-1 500 and the H-2 750.
But what your talking about.
Make sure all your afairs are in order.

An old Suzuki Quadzilla frame would be the closest thing to being able to handle the power and woud probably be the biggest frame other than a DS650 frame. Even with a lt500 frame you would still be more than doubling the HP.

you are gona shoot me but I would say put it in a scrambler frame, cuz it's gonna be heavy anyway with that motor, why now use the heavyiest duty frame you can find.

If the 1200 cc Vtwin is a Harley engine, they only have about 60 horsepower. I did see a Harley powered ATV race in the ice races in an indoor arena this year. It was painted Harley racing colors (orange and black), leeked very cool, but didn't win...

Good luck,
Lorrin
