I road some today with a fellow with a older honda 300 4x4 and I wonder about what year it was? It had the gas tank under the seat the frount end looked to be a solid axle with brackets mounting it back to the frame other than that looked like a newer one.thanks

 

I doubt that's enough info to distinguish year models, except for the change from struts in 1983- and the 4x4 they all kinda look the same, that's part of what's special about the new rincon, it has a new "base" style.

 

that wasnt a 300 it was a TRX350 4X4 I had one it was probably around an 86'

 

Actually I know for a fact that it was a TRX350 4X4 The 4x4s had a swing arrm front suspension with a differential in the front not a solid axle, but the housing was solid. I had it since I was 7 and I sold it when I was 10 to a friend of ours and I saw it last year so there is no doubt about it that it was a TRX350 4X4.

Thanks for the info had never seen one like it before and frogot to ask the year. for the honda fans the only parts he said he has replaced tires,rocker arm and fixed a rusted gas tank.not to bad for a 15+ year machine.
