Im 5-11", 160lbs, 25 and only been riding for 2 years. I have a fourtrax300. Id like to get the 300EX but Im not real sure... maybe a Warrior. Im a "trail-hog" and dont intend to hit a MX track (that I know of). I want something that'l keep me happy for the next few years. Can someone give me some advise. Thanks!!

It depends on if you like reverse.
Thiers a lot of sport models out thier, such as the warrier, lakota, mojave and a few I can't think of.
I ride a lakota and love it.
Lot of sport quick in the trails and of course reverse.
My brother has a warrior and he loves it.
My suggestion to you would be read the test rides by the magazine guys, make a list and go test drive as many as you can.
Good Luck

Doesn't sound like a bad choice.. Is you Trx300 4x4? If so, then you may not like the 2x4...
I currently run a 250x and have had a few of them and really like them. They are pretty much the same as the 300ex and are a great machine.
However, if you are getting into speed more now, you may want to consider a 400ex... It doesn't have reverse, but is alot faster and the suspension is alot better... It would be worth spending the extra money on the 400.
But if y ou have to have reverse, the 300ex would be a good choice.. They are also nicer in quality and ride than the other comparable models(Mojave, Warrior, etc.)

I went from a trx 300 4x4 to a 300ex..
It takes a little getting used to, but the 300ex is a really good trail bike + its alot more fun.
The 300ex doesn't have as soft of a ride as a 300 4x4 .. but again you will get used to it.
As far as mud goes .. you can never get a 2x4 to beat a 4x4 in the mud, but with a good set of mud tires the 300ex will impress you for a 2x4 sport machine.
I have 22" bearclaws on mine and it goes through as much mud as most 2x4 utility machines.
