Recon Rear End Squeek

It could be one of two things. Might be your hubs.. its weird mine do the same thing.. or it could be your axle bearings. To test them, just take you tire and try to move it. if it moves.. tighten them.. that will be your hubs.. if it your axle. grab your axle and see if it moves.. it shouldnt at all. If thats not it, i dont know what it would be.

I Know this sounds crazy but a while back my 99 Recon started squeaking and I finally figured out it was where the seat clips on with the small handle where it attaches to the frame. I could see it was metal to metal contact. Little grease on that and squeak for me was gone. Just a thought. Chet

<< My 98' Recon has developed a intermentant rear end squeek at low speeds. It does not seem to be affected by the brakes, and I checked the rear end grease. It was okay. Any ideas? >>
oh wow, I guess it is true that those little mice can get into everything!! That poor little mouse is probably stuck inside of your tire, and when you go real low speeds, it's tumbling all around in the tire, begging for mercey(see it's using it as one of those little wheels they run on, and it's having trouble keeping up)! Poor little mouse, maybe he'll find a way out of that tire and be free again!
