I will also add this:
Jim (ArmyMan),
1). Thank you for e-mailing me.
2). I have read your posts and comments for over a year and a half and have always known you to be honest, fair, and objective.
3). Bottom line - Posts are disappearing that have not been removed by the author. I really doubt they are just simply disappearing - if that were the case, A lot more folks would be taking issue with it as well. That only leaves the admins. I can understand perfectly the removal of posts that are profane, etc. What I cannot understand is the removal of two threads that were arguably the most informative threads on the entire forum.
I appreciate your suggestion that the issue would continue to be looked at, but for the life of me, don't understand the "I don't have time to worry with it" post that came next. Is Dave the ONLY person capable of doing this?
Having a degree in Computer Science and working in the field for 15 years now, we do these things called "Backups". Which makes restoring a rather simple and automated task.
I really would like to understand why this seems to be happening to certain folks and not others. Computer software is not generally selective in who is allowed to use it.
Thanks for your time
Steve

Maybe the admin. wants to keep these forums on the "my dream quad is faster than yours" bandwagon?
I have noticed the internet is moving more into the "browser" field and less toward the actual "information" that it was originally intended for. I have noticed in order to glean any valuable info, you must first provide a credit card #...
However, finding the time and money to update a decent website everyday for free is very difficult, if not downright impossible.

Bog_Hog,
You don't believe for a minute I don't have the time to restore a few posts?
I work from 8:00 am in the morning to 1:00 am the following morning every single day and every weekend to manage this company and provide the services that you receive here for free. So you're saying you would like me to give up another hour of sleep each week to find and restore your missing threads? Sorry, it just isn't going to happen.
I'll say this, I'm sorry your threads disappeared. This software is not perfect. If the threads are gone and they weren't removed by a moderator for violation of policy then the software likely dropped the threads when it rebuilt the html pages the last time.
As I explained to you before, I honestly don't have the time to look for the threads and fix them.
A continuation of this discussion is off-topic (not ATV related) and will serve no real useful purpose, therefore I'm locking this thread. Please move on to more relevant discussions.
