i turned on the jump and landed the quad on its front and they blew . i was wondering are 400ex shocks better and is it worth it to put them on the 300ex or should i just get 300ex shocks again and put thm on? if 400ex shocks work, would i have to change anythin else? thanks

you need the 400ex shocks, a arms, tie rods, and brake lines. You also need relocation brackets for the top mount of the shocks since the 400ex shocks are so much longer than 300ex shocks. Now you can DIY alot of this stuff by making your own mounts, not using 400ex lines, etc.
The front shocks are decent on the stock 400,,,much much better than 300exs.

Instead of paying for the a-arms, shocks, and reloacation brackets why not just invest in some Works AT Steeler dual rate shocks. They are better than those stock 300 EX shocks. If you later want to add an extended a-arm you can send them back to be revalved for the new arms.
It is just a suggestion.

You DON'T need 400EX A-Arms, Tie Rods, and brake lines. If you can get your hands on a pair of 400 shocks, just make or buy a mounting bracket.
However, if you are play racing, I suggest taking DerekHonda up on his offer of the A-Arms, shocks and tie rods. The 400's A-Arms are longer than the 300's, and then you would have a wider bike. Add an axle, and you're ready to do some serious racing!

I would think the works shockw with rezzie's would be better than the stock 400 EX shocks, but that is my opion. The 400 EX arms are only going to give you 1/2 inch more width on eack side. Then due to the change in geometry with the a-arms your 300 EX shocks are too short and the 400 EX are too long. I guess it comes down to which route you want to take. I myself would like that additional 1/2 inch on both sides but I would not like to have to relocate my upper shock mounts.
