if you can get it (2001 model) for $4,500 OTD. Would be a good deal. Here in Michigan there ads are $3,999 (not es, $ 200 more if choosen but well worth it) plus tax, title and dealer handling (about $600 more). I personally own a 2001 2x4 Rancher ES (bought it last year in nov.) LIST $ 4,599 : paid $4,200 (machine) + $600 (dealer) + 300 (4 year warranty) and got $400 in gear (dealer list price) with my $300 honda bucks (true total $4,700). You should be able to pick up the 4x4 es version right now for $4,700 otd (not bad) I just wish it had switchable 2/4x4 mode, then i'd be all over it!!! (wake up honda !!! maybe in 2003)

LogLeaper,

Where are you getting such great pricing? I'm picking up my '02 Rancher on Monday with a Cycle Country plow and Warn winch. $6000 out the door. I'm getting beat up!! I live in Michigan too.

In February of this year I bought two 2x4 Ranchers ES models. I paid
$3995.00 plus tax I think the MSRP was about $4495.00 and they threw in
a snowplow at cost at my request. Thumbs up on the electric shift!

raider1972, sorry didn't get to you earlier, maybe could have saved you a couple bucks but probably too late.....Canton, looks like you may be shopping at Metro Power Sports ??? Thats where I bought mine...but you will get a better deal at Nicholson which is by you also. They both advertise the Rancher 4x4 (2001 model/not ES color green I believe but could be wrong on that)for $3,995 plus tax, title and dealer prep (thats where they can get you, nicholson is about $100 cheaper)so you could get one for $3,995 + tax/dealer cost(about $700) total cost $4,700 add $400 for a 4 year warrantee, $400 for a plow and $300 for a winch TOTAL COST $5,800.
since yours is a 2002 I would expect it to be a couple hundred more and if it's the Es version that list for $200 extra. Dont forget mine is 2x4 not 4x4, I haven't seen any great deals on the 2x4 ( I paid $4200) but now there offering 4x4 cheaper ($4000), back to color again I personally like the orange not olive drab ??? hmmmm must be lack of sales on 4x4 model not being switchable maybe. Thats why I didnt get 4x4 and it was $800 more ($5000 then $4000 now, 2001 model - pretty great deal). Good luck and enjoy

scott

Well, for all those prices good and bad, I had a quote of 4900, for the 4x4 ES last winter, however when I went in three weeks later (then spring) they wanted full retail(5399$ w 150$ honda bucks merchandise). Fancy that! That's exactly what I paid, no dealer beaten around the bush about BS charges. ( Tax is paid seperately at the licsence office in this state.)

I bought mine(trx350ES) this May for $4800, it was a great price in my area. Most of the dealers around Raleigh here were selling MSRP.
I got it from a dealer near the coast.

Log Leaper,

I negotiate a better deal with Birch Run. Got the whole thing OTD for $5765 including some new tiedowns. It's being delivered tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Some of you are getting prices like I was quoted ($6100 otd). For me that was way too much. I ended up with a prairie 300 4x4 for $4575 otd.

I talked to a manager at Honda of Houston. I told him about the deal in Alabama, $4800 otd. He said that was less than he payed. If I found a local one under $5k otd, I might have a honda now.
