If you buy a Pro design cool head do you need to do anything to the cylinder? Is there a different head gasket? Thanks

No you should not have to do anything to the cylinder. You can get o-ringed and not o-ringed cool heads and also w/headstay or w/o.

can you give me a little more detail. I understand the head stay deal. But the o-ring head I don't understand. Is it a o-ring head gasket? Or the o-ring on the dome? What has to be done if you have a o-ring cool head?
thanks

You don't have to do anything to the cylinder. You can get the head that used 2 o-rings as a head gasket or just a normal head that uses a normal head gasket.
I have the normal head with 21cc dome and thin CR style head gasket and I have 210 lbs compression and run a 50:50 race gas.

I read on the LRD site that "O-ring grooves are cut into the top of the cylinder instead of using old fashion head gaskets like every body else" Any suggestions?
