Replacing Recon Tires
#1
My stock Goodyear's are about trashed and I was wondering which tires to buy to replace them.
I ride mostly on rocky, loose dirt/gravel trails, almost never see mud, just do alot of rockcrawling up old Jeep trails in Colorado.
Also, I don't want to go much larger than stock because I ride in high altitude areas, which already causes a power loss. I noticed that most tires (at least from the ads in Dirtwheels) don't come in the stock size. I am willing to go with slightly larger tires, just don't want something that will cause too much of a power loss.
Any recommendations (front and back)?

ITP Spider Tracs 22x12.5x9 for the rear and just buy some of the same tires for the front. Thats what i did and my spider tracs are awesome in all terrain. Always have plenty of traction except in the muddiest of conditions when they get balled up with mud. I've climbed loose gravel hills with no problem...didn't even spin the tires just went on up. By the way highlifter has a pretty good deal on them. 155 total price shipped to my door. A LOT cheaper than other things i have found.

I have decided to go with Carlisle Trail Wolfs (4 ply) for the front and GBC Dirt Devils (6 ply) for the rear. Has anyone used either of these? I found them for about $45/each at Dennis Kirk. The front will be stock size and the rears will be 1 inch wider.
