My buddies and I use cb radios on our ruby's, we are having trouble
squelching all the noise coming from the machine, we have tried different brands of radios and still have the problem. Help.

Have you tried the cobra 29 with noiseblocker?(or the newer ones with ST added) They are big and bulky, meant for permanent installations, but noisblocker works swell at removing puculiar interference noises. With NB on you can use the RF gain to tune out 99% of noise, and ignore the squelch, thus you won't miss any incoming weak signals either.

You might try inline filters (+/- leads) available from Radio Shack, Crutchfield, and others. Run your power to the CB direct from battery and install filters in power lines as per instructions. Make sure all connections are solid and good ground is present. Save all your paperwork so you can return items that don't work. Last resort.....turn off engine to RCV and XMIT.
