what are some ways to get more power out of a Honda Rancher 2x4 es with out getting a new pipe or big bore kit. if i get a k&n filter, will it help any at all if i dont get a pipe? could it mess up the engine any because or more air going in? what are some other things i can do to give it more power? what have yall done and do you like the outcome?

 

if you get a pipe and a filter you will have more air coming into and leaving the motor. you will need to rejet your carb to get more gas coming in as well. if not , it might run too lean and get too hot. you can get an air filter with no pipe but you prolly will not feel verymuch power increase , nevertheless , the k&n filter works alot better than stock and will pay for itslf because it can be cleaned and re-oiled. alot of the reason that a rancher might not feel like it has as much power as some sport quads is simply because of the transmisions so dont exect the rancher to run like a 400ex after these mods. you can prbably get these parts from highlifter. hope this helps you , casey
