how would you make a 200x faster. money is not a problem and becaust i have money dosent mean i want to buy a different wheeler. the 200x i have is bone stock and goes at a fairly good speed. what would it take to get more speed with out sacrificing too much power. and how much would it cost?

The 200X engines can be made to rip, but it depends on what year as far as how much power it will produce.

The first gen. engines '83-'85 were pretty much an XR200 engine that Honda tinkered with for ATV use.

The second gen. engines '86-'87 were a complete different engine that had way more power than the first gen. This engine also had the 6 speed trans. instead of a 5 speed.

Arsonist was right on who to contact. Powroll has been building parts for these engines for years.Curtis Sparks was also a good builder of these engines in the early days so he might would be an alternative.

I believe it was in the early ninetys that a guy running the GNCs in the aircooled 200 class ran an '86-'87 style 200X engine in a 250X frame and took the championship that year. I know that the Blasters aren't the most powerful quads in the world, but for a fourstroke of equal displacement in a much heavier machine beating the two strokes is just plain cool.
