I am posting this for a friend. He is looking to buy a 1985 honda 250r that is in the local paper. It is said to be in good shape with a recent top-end rebuild and an extra pair of paddle tires. The guy is asking 1,500 dollars or best offer. My friend would like to know if there is anything special that he should look at before purchasing it. Is $1,500 a good price?

Thanks in advance for any info to the above questions.

I think he is talking about the 3-wheelers. If you are, than $1500 is the most you want to pay for an atc250r, but it has to be in showroom condition. At this price not even a scratch on the fender. The going rate for a used machine in near perfect shape is $1200.00

thanks for the reply's. I'll be sure to tell my friend to get the guy to go down on his price. And it is an atc250r.
