I love chrome. Looks way better than powdercoat. Is kinda expensive... $1.00 for every nut and $1.00 for every bolt. $25.00 per a-arm, etc. Check out mine...

My rear axle on my X is crome. How do I keep it looking good and not rusting, chiping, etc... this winter when I hit the snow? Any tips you guys could give me? Thanks a lot!

Chrome DOES make it weaker, i wonder why the guy told you that it doesnt make stuff weaker? Maybe cuz he makes a living off of it?!?!?!? But it does, not a whole whole lot, but i KNOW it does!

If chrome weakens the part why does every aftermarket axle come in chrome and guaranteed for life. Also other high stress parts like a-arms and sterring stems. So before you say stuff you know nothing about do some research first. And the guy I use does all diffrent types of coatings so he has no need to push just chrome plating.

cannondaleMOTO440-

Yea Brad is one of his brothers. I thought you meant his 310 because he is trying to sell it. Yes I race. This year I am going to the Macon, London, Muddy Creek, Lorretta Lynns, Benton, MO (tt), Greenville, TN (tt) and Casey, IL Nationals. I am also going to race a 10 race series at a track in Tyler, Texas. Are you going to any Nationals?
