No problems here either. I'd say it has to be an oil issue or some other mechanical issues.

AMSOIL has a very good oil for winter or summer use. It is 0w-40 4-cycle oil an it is full synthetic. Email me if you like to try some.

Same thing happened to me this morning during a bow hunt. Started fine, let her warm up but kept stalling on me. After 6 or 7 tries I finally started moving with the choke fully open (that's the only way I could move). At .7 miles I stopped closed the choke and it stalled again! Why is the rubicon doing this? I'm a rookie at this and this is a brand new quad. Called the dealer who said he wants to take a look at it.......FCPana

FCPana
sounds like the rubi is running very lean, or it wasn't warmed up enough.

The last I knew, Honda wasn't recommending using synthetic oil in the Rubicon. Has that changed?

I will tend to agree with you I have one it has 800km on it and I am condsidering trading it.I know for a fact that there are alot of problems showing up in the Rubicon,if it not the clutch burning,it has been the automatic transmission failing or the crank and wrist pin failing.
I am becoming very dissapointed with this machine!

douglasss...where are you getting your information about all of these "problems" with the Rubicon? I sure haven't heard of many. Naturally, with any make or model of ATV, you're going to get an occasional "lemon". That's just the way it is. Sounds like you might have gotten one of these. Since you "know for a fact that there are alot of problems" with the Rubicon, could you elaborate more on how exactly you know this, or where you're getting your information?

I just got home from a 4 hour ride in 24" of snow on the new rubicon. No problems at all. In fact, this bike does pretty darn good in the snow. So far I am impressed.
