link or no link rear suspension for 250R aftermarket frame

I need to know the advantages of a no link rear suspension for a 250r aftermarket frame. I will also be replacing the rear swing arm so I need to know which way to go.

its more of a TT setup. For mx or trail riding I wouldn't bother, the linkage is there for a reason, and there is a reason all modern bikes have linkages.
