I just read an article in the Portland Press Herald and in the Journal Tribune regarding atvs in the city of Sanford... Alot of people know about the area. On any given weekend you can go to Newdam pit and see plates from H.H., Mass., and even Conn.. The problem is these trails weave in and out through an industrial park that is being expanded. There has been a lot of money invested in clearing the land and putting in a new road to try and attract industry to the area. You would never know it though because the road that was put in with in the last two years has been pretty much torn up. Now a lot of the trails have been blocked off not only of atvs but for snow sleds as well. I have been riding these trails for 15 yrs and have never been bothered but now there are always wardens and police around cracking down on the abuse of this area.

In short ride responsably and with respect if you want to have a place to ride because I can see it slipping away..

The state wants to turn the pit into a wet land to make up for the turnpike widening. The owners are fighting it and the town is fighting it.
There has been a lot of problems with people not respecting the land and tearing up areas other than the trails. For the most part everyone I've come accross have been pretty cool but there are the few that just don't care.

30 yrs.
Riden many differnt quads. Just sold a Warrior and now am thinking about getting an antique... 250 Bigred.... Only because I wanted one growing up and think it would be cool to hve one now...
