The 300 is the most popular machine ever. It has done me good.
Honda should've kept making them.

 

The 300 did everyone who owned one a lot of good I think.

Hondas newer bikes are just as good if not better. While not the most technically advanced in the braking dept., they are unbeatable for build quality and durability.

excellent bike!! this bike is very durable. i have only changed bearings and tires. nothing else has broke. i just found out that my choke cable must have froze up because i can't turn the choke on. besides this it has been a bullet proof bike for me.

 

My very first ATV was a 1997 300 4trax 2wd.
I had a lot of dirt and street motorcycles but knew nothing about atvs. I lucked out with the 300 4trax.

It never failed me, bought new in may 1997 , I submurged it in water(abet briefly) although several times.It was flipped end over end down a cliff, hung in a tree with a come- a- long to straighten out the racks, even wth all that, the first person to answer my ad for it bought it without quibbling about the price.The only reason I sold it in oct 2000 was to buy my Rancher 4x4 ES. Had I known i coulda got my 300 in 4x4 , i would still have it today.

 

hands down....the most bullet proof quad ever made...i love mine

 

I use mine to pull around a bushhog mower. Much more comfortable than sitting on a tractor. Has been a good machine.
