I am helping a friend search for a used quad. Someone told me that some Foremans are not so good, while others are the best things out there.

Which ones are the reliable ones, and which ones are not so good.

Thanks,

May this year bring you much ATV related joy.

I feel that all the bikes in the Foreman series are VERY reliable. Ask anyone in the Honda threads.
You might want to be more specific as to your friend's needs in a utility quad. If reliability is the ONLY criteria......Honda is THE choice.

Yeah, we all like hondas, I owned two hondas personnally and they were great.
(I know one guy that hates hondas, can't really convince him to give em a chance)

My friend is on a tight budget, and found some 87 to 89 foremans, 300 to 350 size. I wish he could afford to get a 400 or 450

I heard a rumor that some of the older ones, like the 300 or 350, did not have as durable of a transmission or clutch or something?
