O.K. here goes. The darn thing starts right up and runs real good untill you hit a whoops section then it acts like you just put the choke on. it starts bogging and acting like its not getting any fuel.
would this be a float problem? thanks for any help.

What do you mean by whoops section? How hot is the motor when it starts bogging out? Sometimes the motor heats up the fuel and causes it bog out and not run. My old 250x did similar stuff.

When it happened I was riding in an old dry wash with loose sand and whoops. as I was goin through the whoops the quad just started bogging out. It also happened at the dunes on a straight away full of whoops. What caused your Quad to do this when it was hot?
When I came home from the dunes I got a new gas tank because I found alot of rust in the old tank. I figured that was the problem. But this last time when I was riding it did it again when I was riding through some whoops.

What is happening is probably fuel slosh, racers usually get it after a big jump, if the float level is a little low, the fuel will slosh around in the bowl enough to actually let the main jet suck air, causing the bog. they make special anti-slosh bowls for some carbs, or you may just need to slightly raise the float level to keep the jet in the liquid. Hope that helps.

My 250x was bored 80 over so sometimes it ran kinda hot and the fuel line is right above the motor and the hot motor would heat up the line and cause the gas to boil. nothing likes to run on warm gas. 95Wolv has a good point with the floats. Did you ever run whoops before and it didn't happen?

Maybe your jetted lean somewhere....cause normally when your on straights or hammering through the whoops your at full throttle. Being that it happened both times at full throtle, maybe your jetted wrong on whichever part of the carb affect the top end power. Have a look at that and see if it helps.
