I'M ABOUT THE SAME SIZE AS YOU AND FOUND THAT TALLER BARS MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. IN THE WOODS ITS NOT A MATTER OF SPEED BUT A MATTER OF TORQUE. THE 400 HAS PLENTY. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A 440 WITH A XR CAM. THAT CAM WOKE THE 400 RIGHT UP AND THE 440 SHOULD BE A TORQUE MONSTER. THE ONLY OTHER THING I'M GOING TO GET IS A LARGER OIL TANK TO TRY TO KEEP IT COOLER. IT ALREADY HAS A FMF PIPE ON IT AND THE JET KIT WHICH I'LL HAVE TO ADJUST. IN THE WOODS ALWAYS TRY TO RUN JUST A LITTLE ON THE RICH SIDE TO KEEP THE HEAT DOWN, HEAT KILLS

Thanks guys, Id also like to point out that the
400's motor is relatively low tech and even AIR COOLED!!!!
It does very good against the big guys especially considering they are liquid cooled.
I actually love the fact that my 400 is air cooled. I dont ever have to worry about it
overheatin' on me. If I feel like it needs a rest, I just give it a rest.
(never seems to get tired at all, though)
